Meet the Author

Alexandra Gilchrist has loved stories of great adventure, deep friendships, and noble ideals since she learned to read. Realizing it was becoming more and more difficult to find those kinds of stories in today's culture, she decided her only recourse was to write her own.

Rejecting the idea that books could either be Christian OR good stories, but never both, she set out to write the exciting stories she loves woven with the Christian worldview that she strives to live out in everything she does. Inspired by shows such as Star Trek, The Wild, Wild, West, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and a variety of comic books, classic novels, and modern authors, Alexandra writes thrilling speculative stories about her growing cast of imaginary friends.

When she's not writing (or wishing the stories were done so she could just READ the blasted things), she enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, deep diving theology at 11pm, watching anime, and cuddling her cat. She lives in Indiana where she’s involved in her church, substitutes at her kids’ school, and daydreams about symbiotic suits of armor, phoenix detectives, and superhero origin stories.
